Baked shortbread cookies

Shortbread Kisses

Each delectable shortbread cookie is centered with a Hershy's chocolate kiss, hence the name shortbread kisses.

Shortbread Ingredients:

  • 1 lb butter softened

  • 1 cup icing sugar

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1/2 cup corn starch

  • 1 bag Hershey milk chocolate kisses

How the Shortbread Cookies are made:

  • Mix first four ingredients together very well

  • Roll dough into small balls about 1 1/2 inches around

  • Flatten a bit in the palm of your hand

  • Place on greased cookie sheet

  • Place Hershey Kiss into center of cookie and gently push down - just a bit

  • Bake at 325F for 10 minutes

  • Let cool for 5 minutes on cookie sheet before transfering to cooling racks

  • Cool completely

  • These shortbread cookies freeze well

  • Recipe yields approximately 24 shortbread cookies
