Rhubarb Crisp Recipe

This easy rhubarb crisp recipe is a very tasty dessert treat that is sure to be a do again.

What you will need to make rhubarb crisp...

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 6 cups chopped rhubarb

  • 2 cups white sugar

  • 2 cups brown sugar

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 ½ cups butter or margarine

  • Pinch of cinnamon

  • Pinch of nutmeg

How the rhubarb crisp is made:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Grease a 9x12 pan

  • Thoroughly mix the white sugar and cornstarch together and then add the rhubarb

  • Spread the mixture at the bottom of the pan

  • Now mix brown sugar, oats and flour together in a bowl

  • add a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg

  • Mix butter in with a fork, knife or pastry cutter

  • Sprinkle this topping over the rhubarb mixture

  • Bake the crisp at 350 degrees for 45 minutes

  • Remove from oven and let cool

*Serve with vanilla ice cream.
