The Most Amazing Monkey Bread You'll Ever Make

What you'll need to make this easy monkey bread...

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 rolls Pillsbury country biscuit dough

  • 3/4 cup sugar - generous

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup melted butter - no margarine

How the monkey bread is made...

Directions:

  • Cut biscuits into quarters

  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in bowl

  • Roll biscuit quarters in sugar mixture

  • Coat well

  • Grease angel food pan well with butter

  • Sprinkle a little of the sugar/cinnamon mixture into the bottom of the pan

  • Place 1/2 of the rolls into the greased pan

  • Drizzle with 1/2 of the melted butter

  • Top with remaining biscuits

  • Drizzle with remaining quarter cup melted butter

  • Top with remaining sugar and cinnamon

  • Bake at 350F for 40 - 45 minutes until golden

  • Let stand five minutes

  • Invert onto plate

Cream Cheese Icing:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package cream cheese

  • 2 - 4 tbsp milk

  • 2 1/2 - 3 cups icing sugar (mix in small amounts until you get the right consistency)

How the cream cheese icing is made...

Directions:

  • Beat all icing ingredients together in a bowl

  • Spoon over warm loaf

This icing recipe allows you to generously coat the sticky bread and leaves enough extra for people to use as dip if they like.

I make this for breakfast every Christmas and my family looks forward to it all year long.
