A Piece of Ice Cream Pie

Chocolate & Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie

This chocolate and peanut butter ice cream pie tastes like reese's peanut butter cups.

What you will need to make this ice cream pie...

Crust Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 3 Tablespoons sugar

  • 3 Tablespoons of chopped honey roasted peanuts

  • ¼ cup melted butter or margarine

Filling Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of slightly softened chocolate ice cream

  • 4 cups slightly softened vanilla ice cream

  • 13 cup of peanut butter

  • 2 - 3 Tablespoon chopped honey roasted peanuts

  • ¼ cup chocolate chips or chocolate syrup

How the ice cream pie is made...

Directions:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350F

  • In a small bowl add all the crust ingredients and mix well

  • Press the mixture onto the bottom and sides of a 9 by 10 inch pie pan

  • Bake in the oven for 6 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned

  • Remove and allow crust to cool completely

  • Spread soft chocolate ice cream onto the bottom of cooled cust

  • Place in freezer for approximately 30 minutes to make firm

  • Using a large mixing bowl add softened vanilla ice cream and peanut butter

  • Beat at low speed until completely blened together (make sure to scape the sides often)

  • Spoon the peanut butter ice cream over top of chocolate ice cream

  • Gently spread the peanut butter ice cream out evenly; make sure to cover the crust edges as well

  • Sprinkle the chopped nuts over top of pie

  • Freeze for approximately 4 to 6 hours or until completely firm

  • Let stand at room tempature for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting

  • In the meantime melt chocolate chips over medium heat (unless using chocolate syrup)

  • Drizzle melted chocolate or chocolate syrup over each pie slice just before serving
