Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe

Allright, here is my homemade mayonnaise recipe.

I've refined this recipe to my taste...and you can do the same.

There are definate advantages to homemade mayonnaise.

  • No preservatives

  • Healthier Ingredients

  • Great Taste

  • Great Taste

  • Low Cost

Let's start with the basic ingredients:

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup oil (I use Canola, but you can use any oil)

  • 1 tsp vinegar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Fresh Ground Pepper (To Taste)

  • 1 tsp dijon mustard

Add all of this to a blender except for the oil.

Set blender on low speed and start blending, open the top of blender and pour the oil slowly letting the mayonnaise thicken.

Sometimes I need to turn off the blender, and mix it up a bit with a spoon and start the blender up again to finish thickening the mayonnaise.

This mayonnaise will keep in the refrigerator for a good week.

Another great advantage this recipe has is that it will not spoil if left out for a couple of hours as there is no water. So when making a cold buffet for a party or some other occasion, you can trust your sandwiches to stay tasty and safe to eat.

Hope you enjoy!
