An Easy Pancake Recipe -
semi-whole wheat

A very easy semi-whole wheat pancake recipe that doesn't even taste like whole wheat.

What you'll need to make these pancakes...

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 cups unbleached flour

  • 1 cup fresh whole wheat flour

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 3 tablespoons sugar

  • 3 eggs, beaten

  • 3 tablespoons oil

  • 3 cups of buttermilk or substitute (3 cups of milk with 1 tablesoon lemon juice mixed together)

How the pancakes are made...

Directions:

  • In a bowl mix dry ingredients(flours, baking powder, baking soda, sugar)

  • In another bowl beat the 3 eggs

  • Add the eggs, buttermilk and oil to flour mixture

  • Mix together thoroughly

  • Coat frying pan with a non stick spray

  • Pre heat you frying pan (griddle) on medium heat

  • Use a cup with a handle to scoop up the batter

  • Pour batter slowly into frying pan

  • Pancakes are ready to turn over when a fair amount of air bubbles have formed

  • butter and top your pancakes ith your favorite toppings.

Topping Suggestions:

  • Classic maple syrup

  • Strawberry syrup.

  • Peanut butter and apple sauce

  • Fruit and whipped cream

  • Jam and a sprinkle of icing sugar
