Super Easy French Toast Recipe

French toast for breakfast has been a family favorite for decades. This easy recipe uses more eggs and less milk so you don't end up with a soggy mess.

What you'll need to make French Toast...

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs

  • 4 Tablespoons of milk

  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • pinch of cinnamon

  • 6 slices of bread

How the french toast is made...

Directions:

  • Coat frying pan (griddle) with a non stick spray

  • On the stove, pre heat your frying pan (griddle) over medium heat

  • In a large bowl, with a wide bottom, add eggs and beat well

  • add milk, brown sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon

  • Mix until the sugar is completely dissolved

  • Place one slice of bread into the bowl and flip over to completely coat the other side

  • Take out the slice of bread, allow it to drip for a moment, and quickly place in frying pan.

  • Do another slice of bread the same way.

  • After a minute or two check your french toast.

  • Using a fry spatula lift the toast slightly and look underneath. If they are a nice golden color flip them over.

  • Continue until all six slices are done

  • Now you can butter them and top with your favorite toppings such as syrup and whipped cream or a good quality jam and a sprinkle of icing sugar. The choices are endless.
