Cheese and broccoli bake straight out of the oven

A delicious and easy broccoli dinner recipe that's perfect for using up your leftover ham, chicken or turkey.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 package Chicken flavored Stove top stuffing (plus ingredients to make it)

  • 1 lb fresh or frozen broccoli florets

  • 2 to 2-1/2 cups of cooked ham, chicken or turkey (cut into bite size pieces)

  • 1 can of condensed mushroom soup (10 oz, 284 ml)

  • 6 heaped Tablespoons of French onion dip

  • 4 oz cream cheese - (1/4lb, 125g)

  • 1 can of sliced mushrooms (10 fl oz, 284 ml)

  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 Teaspoon pepper

  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

How the cheese & broccoli bake is made:

  • Pre-heat oven to 375F

  • Make the stove top stuffing according to package directions

  • cook broccoli until tender crisp

  • In a sauce pan add mushroom soup, French onion dip, cream cheese, mushrooms, salt and pepper

  • mix well and heat through until cream cheese is completely melted into sauce

  • Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan

  • Put the stuffing on the bottom of pan

  • Next add the cooked broccoli florets

  • Now add the cooked ham, chicken or turkey

  • Spoon the mushroom cheese sauce over all

  • Finally top with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

  • Place in the oven on center rack and bake for 10 minutes - It should be bubbly and cheese melted

  • Remove from oven and serve

  • Yields 6 servings
